Creating Safe, Supportive Homes for Seniors
With 49 subsidized apartments, residents pay just 30% of their adjusted monthly income for housing. This ensures stability and dignity in a safe, welcoming environment.
In 2025, the Cobb EMC Foundation awarded grant funding to replace aging carpet with durable vinyl plank flooring throughout the apartments and common areas. This critical upgrade has transformed the lives of residents, improving mobility for those using walkers and wheelchairs, reducing allergens, and creating a healthier, safer space for all. The flooring also simplifies cleaning, helps staff maintain a sanitary environment, and reduces the spread of illnesses.
Laurel’s Edge serves 200-300 people annually, including residents, their loved ones, and volunteers, who all play a role in this vibrant ecosystem of care. With support from the Cobb EMC Foundation, they continue to fulfill their mission of fostering comfort, independence, and a sense of belonging for seniors.
